I like Carhartt clothing but refuse to buy their wares, among others, as they insist on branding on the outside. Cutting back on other items as much as possible...difficult when most 'things' are corporate based and monopolies have been set up over a period of years. Thanks for your work.
I hear you. I really like Duluth Trading Company because their clothes are well-made. They built a solid reputation with women by realizing we want POCKETS in our clothes. Most of the time there are no logos-- except on underwear. WTF. I did notice a teeny tiny white patch at the hem of a chambray western dress I purchased recently.
I agree with everything you mentioned. I attended the Tesla protest on March 1, 2025. The attendees were mostly older baby boomers. Where are the young people? I'm afraid they don't think anything they do will make a difference. We remember the Vietnam War protests. I keep calling and emailing Representative Ciscomani. Will any Democrat run against him in 2026? I stopped buying anything from Temu and Shein because the money goes directly to China. I'm cutting back purchases from the retailers who scrapped their DEI initiatives. Unfortunately things look fairly bleak from my perspective. I appreciate your newsletters 🙏🤗
Yes, it looks bleak. That's why I'm suggesting we do everything we can -- even small steps. This is why I restarted my podcast. It takes a lot of time, but I believe it is the best way for me to fight back. Interesting observation about the Tesla rally.
